WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- U.S. actor Kevin Spacey will be completely edited out of the film All the Money in the World, following mounting accusations of sexual harassment and assault, according to CNN.
Kevin Spacey's role in the film will be reportedly re-played by actor Christopher Plummer, which has posed a tough challenge since the film is set for release on December 22 and the time left for re-production is tight.
The film is based on the abduction incident of John Paul Getty III in 1973, who was the grandson of American oil tycoon Jean Paul Getty. Imperative Entertainment and Scott Free Productions produced the film for Sony Pictures and film studio TriStar Pictures, which is also a division of Sony.
Before the recast was announced, Sony and TriStar decided to pull the film from the closing night spot of the American Film Institute Festival, due to the allegations against Spacey.
