YANGON, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- At least one guest was injured in a huge fire that broke out in Kandawgyi Palace Hotel on the Kandawgyi lakeside in Yangon early Thursday.

The fire, which started at about 3:00 a.m. local time, intensified after gas cylinders exploded.

The fire, which almost burned down the whole hotel building, was brought under control by firefighters after nearly four hours' fight.

The guests were evacuated to safe places, fire service department told Xinhua.
