HO CHI MINH CITY, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The 2017 AFF (ASEAN Football Federation) Futsal Championship will take place here from Oct. 26 to Nov. 3, and Vietnam targets the top position, the Vietnam Football Federation said on Wednesday.
The tournament's Group A consists of Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Brunei, Myanmar, and Group B includes Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and Timor Leste.
The tournament will be the second AFF Futsal Championship to be held in 2017, with the first originally meant to be hosted in 2016, but eventually took place early this year.
It is served as qualifiers for the 2018 AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Futsal Championship slated for February in Chinese Taipei.
