VIENNA, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- The leader of Austria's center-right People's Party and election favourite Sebastian Kurz has cast his vote in Sunday's election, expressing optimism to a large media gathering.
As one of the final major party leaders to cast his vote, the foreign minister made his way to a voting booth in his home district of Meidling in Vienna around noon, accompanied by his partner.
He said he wished for a "good result, so that real change is possible."
Kurz also hoped as many Austrians as possible would make use of their right to vote.
He further stated that he intends to spend the election day with his family.
