Three dead, over 20 injured in bus accident in Hong Kong

HONG KONG, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a bus accident here on Friday.

The accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. local time when the bus mounted the pavement in Sham Shui Po district, smashing through railings and hitting a building's canopy.

Eleven ambulances had been sent to the scene for rescue efforts, authorities said.
