QALA-E-NAW, Afghanistan, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The National Directorate for Security (NDS) of Afghanistan, or the country's intelligence agency, has arrested a man charged with supplying arms and ammunitions to the Taliban militants in western Badghis province.
The suspected weapon supplier to the Taliban, according to the agency on Friday, was captured in Badghis provincial capital Qala-e-Naw, 555 km northwest of Kabul recently.
Meantime, deputy to Badghis provincial governor, Faiz Mohammad Mirza Zada has confirmed the arrest and said that variety of arms and ammunitions had been recovered from the possession of the arrested man.
Taliban militants haven't make comments.
