MEHTARLAM, Afghanistan, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Seven militants have been killed as clash erupted between security forces and Taliban fighters in Alinegar district of the eastern Laghman province on Wednesday, spokesman for provincial government Sarhadi Zawak said.
Units of the army, according to the official, stormed Taliban positions in parts of Alinegar district early morning and so far seven militants have been killed, three injured and four others arrested.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment.
