GAZA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, announced Tuesday the death of one of its members in a resistance tunnel located in the southern Gaza Strip.
The man identified as Hani Shalouf, 24, died while working in a resistance tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip, the Brigades said in a brief press release.
Shlouf is the third activist, affiliated to Al-Qassam Brigades, to be killed within five days in "resistance" tunnels in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian armed factions often call the term "jihadist mission," on the conditions of death of their activists in a work accident, or an error during armed exercises.
Israel has intensified attacks to destroy the Hamas ground tunnels from the Gaza Strip into Israel.
