JAKARTA, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's resort island of Bali will host an international triathlon in October of this year, an official disclosed here on Friday.
The event is scheduled to be held in Sanur beach of the island on October 15, said Andam Dewi, a senior director and general manager of Herbalife Nutrition Indonesia, the sponsor of the event.
"We are proud to be the title sponsor of the Bali International triathlon for the third times," Dewi said.
Over 2,000 athletes are expected to take part in the international sport activity, the manager said, comparing with 1,500 participants last year and 1,200 athletes the previous year.
Several events will be held, including the Olympic distance course, sprint distance course, and a 5km fun run, according to the manager.
