Hong Kong stocks close 0.24 pct higher

HONG KONG, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 67.15 points, or 0.24 percent, to 27,607.38 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 27,570.5 and 27,747.35. Turnover totaled 104.80 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 13.41 billion U.S. dollars).
