SINGAPORE, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 14.95 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 3,219.42.
A total of 1.83 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.0 billion Singapore dollars (719.26 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 233 to 198.
The STI index gained 3.13 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 3,234.37 on Thursday.
