BANGKOK, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Two Thai rangers were killed in a bombing and following shooting attack on Tuesday in the southern border province of Yala, Thai media reported.

According to TNN, six rangers were patrolling a rubber tree plantation on motorcycles before they were stopped by a bombing along the road.

Insurgents then came out and shot at the rangers.

Reinforcements have already arrived at the scene and are still looking for those insurgents.

Yala, along with Pattani and Narathiwat, is the three southernmost provinces that were haunted by explosions and attacks.
