ISLAMABAD, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan army said that four more hardcore terrorists involved in committing heinous offenses related to terrorism were executed on Wednesday.
The convicts, involved in killing of innocent civilians, destruction of educational institutions, attacking armed forces of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies, were hanged at a jail of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, an army statement said.
These convicts were active members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and tried by military courts, the statement from the army's media wing of Inter-Services Public Relations said, adding that they admitted their offenses before the Magistrates and the trial courts.
The military courts have been established for the speedy trials of the terrorists.
