ISLAMABAD, May 15 (Xinhua) -- At least four security personnel were injured when a blast hit their vehicle in southwestern Pakistan on Monday, local Urdu media reported.

The vehicle of paramilitary troops Frontier Corps was on its routine patrolling when it was hit by a roadside planted device in Splingi area of Mastung district in the country's southwest Balochistan province, Samaa News said.

Police said that the blast was triggered off by an improvised explosive device by unknown militants who fled the scene following the attack. Security forces cordoned off the area for investigations.

The injured troops were shifted to a nearby hospital. No group has claimed the attack yet.

Monday's attack was the second terrorist activity in Mastung over the last three days.

On Friday, 25 people were killed and 35 others injured when a convoy of the country's Senate deputy chairman was attacked by a suicide bomber in Mastung.
