Dollar rises to mid-113 yen on solid U.S., Japan stocks

TOKYO, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose to the mid-113 yen zone Friday in Tokyo on stronger U.S. and Japanese stocks.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 113.46-48 yen compared with 113.03-13 yen in New York and 112.54-56 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. It moved between 113.07 yen and 113.48 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1750-1751 dollars and 133.32-36 yen against 1.1768-1778 dollars and 133.09-19 yen in New York and 1.1794-1796 dollars and 132.73-77 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
