PARIS, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Car sales in France jumped by 10.3 percent in November year-on-year as improving economic activities boosted the car industry in the eurozone's second main power, French Car Sales Federation (CCFA) said on Friday.
Car manufacturers sold 180,012 vehicles last month compared to 163,161 units offered in November 2016 thanks to strong performance of French brands.
Local auto makers reported sales at 101,080 new cars, sharply up by 20 percent. PSA Peugeot Citroen, France's leading group saw its sales up by 34.1 percent from a year ago.
Renault sold 5.3 percent more cars with the low-cost brand of Dacia registered the highest growth of 14.1 percent, according to CCFA's report.
Over the period, sales of foreign car brands were stable, it added.
CCFA predicted auto market to grow by up 4 percent in 2017.
