BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's passport is the 22nd most powerful in the world where Bruneians can travel visa free to 135 countries, according to the latest 2017 Passport Index published recently.
According to local media on Friday, the index ranks the passports of the United Nations' 193 countries and six territories, in order of passport power, or the number of countries the holders of a particular passport can visit without first having to procure a visa, and was compiled by a global advisory firm which helps people gain citizenship through investment.
Brunei passport ranked 20 with visa-free access to 136 countries in 2016 Passport Index.
Singaporean citizens have the world's strongest passport, closely followed by those from Germany, Sweden and South Korea.
