PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Up to 17 militants and two security personnel were killed and five others wounded following Afghan forces operations in Tala-o-Barfak district of Baghlan province over the past three days, provincial police chief Ikramudin Sari said Thursday.
"Up to 17 Taliban militants and two security personnel were killed and five others, including two security personnel, were wounded in Afghan forces operations over the past three days in Tala-o-Barfak district of Baghlan province," Sari told reporters here.
He said the operations would last until the area is cleansed of the armed insurgents.
Taliban militants are yet to make comments on the report.
