HANOI, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Eight Vietnamese chess players will compete at the 2017 World Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships for Boys and Girls U14, U16 and U18 from Oct. 27-31 in Greece.
Vietnam pins the biggest medal hope on Nguyen Anh Khoi and Tran Minh Thang in the boys' U16 and the U18 category, respectively, the Vietnam Chess Federation said on Monday.
Thang bagged home a bronze in the boys' U16 category at the 2016 World Youth Chess Championship in Russia.
