DUBAI, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- German Henkel Group said Wednesday the firm will not stop operating in Iran despite of the uncertainty arising from the ongoing spat over Iran's nuclear deal.
Henkel Group said "we see huge potential in Iran, it is market with a future" at a media round table held Wednesday at the firm's corporate office in Dubai.
The Henkel President GCC Kocak explained "in the years before the P5+1 deal, it became almost impossible to export to Iran."
Frankfurt stock-listed Henkel, known for consumer brands like Persil (washing powder) or Fa (beauty care products), also produces adhesive technologies for private consumer and industry clients across the globe.
Earlier in the day, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Iran will cut 2015 international nuclear deal into shreds if the United States chooses to tear it up, Press TV reported.
Khamenei welcomed the European governments' opposition to the U.S. President Donald Trump's refusal to certify Iran's compliance with the nuclear deal, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
On Friday, the U.S. president refused to certify Iran's international nuclear deal and accused Tehran of sponsoring terrorism, saying that he would deny Iran's "all paths to a nuclear weapon."
