WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and two others wounded in a shooting at an office park in the U.S. state of Maryland, authorities said Wednesday.
The shooting took place at the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood, roughly 50 km northeast of Baltimore, the Harford County Sheriff's Office tweeted Wednesday morning.
The shooter is believed to have fled the scene, while police are asking people to avoid entering the area.
CNN reported earlier that five people were shot during the incident.
Five schools in the Edgewood area were placed in lockdown after the shooting.
