RABAT, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Morocco firmly condemned on Tuesday the "despicable" terrorist attack that targeted Somali capital Mogadishu and claimed hundreds of lives.
In a message to the Somali president, King Mohammed VI voiced support to Somalia after this "appalling criminal act that runs counter all human values and Islam teachings."
The king expressed to the Somali president, the victims' families and the brotherly Somali people his heartfelt condolences, solidarity and compassion, wishing the injured speedy recovery and patience for the victims' families.
At least 300 people were killed and hundreds seriously injured in the attack blamed on militant group al-Shabaab.
