ANKARA, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Some 35 Somalis injured in Saturday's blast in capital Mogadishu arrived in Ankara for treatment late Monday.

The patients, of whom 13 were critically injured, were taken via a military air ambulance to Turkey.

They would be transferred to Polatli, Numune and Gulhane hospitals, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Recep Akdag told reporters, adding more patients could be sent to the country if necessary.

Early Monday, Turkey's Health Minister Ahmet Demircan visited the Somali capital to coordinate Turkey's support operations for the injured.

Demircan was accompanied by a delegation of 33 staff members, including a medical team specializing in emergency services, according to a statement issued by the Turkish Embassy.

A shipment of medication and medical equipment was sent to Somalia by military aircraft on Sunday.

The deadly suicide truck attack at a busy intersection in capital Mogadishu killed 276 people and wounded more than 300 others on Saturday.
