Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, largely unchanged from its levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.81-83 yen compared with 112.71-81 yen in New York and 112.51-53 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1757-1757 dollars and 132.63-65 yen against 1.1754-1764 dollars and 132.54-64 yen in New York and 1.1756-1758 dollars and 132.27-31 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
