KABUL, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- At least six civilians were wounded, two of them critically, following an armed militants shelling on a hotel along the highway between Afghanistan's Kabul and eastern Jalalabad city on Thursday, and official said.
Sarhadi Zowak, the spokesman for Laghman provincial administration said that the incident happened at around 09:00 a.m. local time in Sarkando Baba, an area located along the way between Kabul and Jalalabad, near eastern Laghman province, where a hotel called Kabul-Turkmen Hotel was hit by a mortar fired by the armed militants.
The wounded had been rushed to the nearby Kakas clinic for primary treatment, and then taken to the Laghman provincial hospital, he added.
