Fujian sweeps two golds in weightlifting at China's National Games

TIANJIN, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Fujian dominated the women's weightlifting tournament by taking the two gold medals on offer at the 13th National Games of China here on Tuesday.

Chai Lina brought home a gold medal in the women's 58 category as the 23-year-old lifted 105kg in the snatch and 133kg in jerk for a winning total of 238kgs.

Zhou Jun of Hubei clinched the silver at 234kg and the bronze was collected by Chen Guiming of Shaanxi at 230kg.

Hours later, Deng Wei from Fujian, met no challenge in women's 63kg as the Rio Olympic champion bagged the gold medal with a winning total of 251kg.

Long Dingling of Henan finished the second with 244kg, Zhou Xiaojing, 19, won the bronze with 241kg for Guangdong.
