ISLAMABAD, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Unidentified gunmen on Monday shot dead two security guards during duty hours outside a government's building in Pakistan's commercial hub of Karachi, police said.
The gunmen, riding a motorcycle, fled after the incident in Karachi's busy Gulistan-e-Johar area, witnesses said.
No group claimed responsibility. The police accuse militant groups for carrying out attacks of security officials, adding that the gunmen opened fire on guards in front of the office of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), which is responsible for collecting taxes.
One of the slain men was an employee of the FBR and another was hired for security from a private security company, police said.
