6.4-magnitude quake hits 254km SE of Lambasa, Fiji -- USGS

HONG KONG, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale jolted 254km SE of Lambasa, Fiji at 02:00:52 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 538.62 km, was initially determined to be at 17.9654 degrees south latitude and 178.8503 degrees west longitude.
