TEHRAN, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Ten people were injured in a 4.7 -magnitude earthquake that shook Iran's western city of Nahavand early morning on Friday, semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
The earthquake in Iran's Hamadan province took place at 05:34 local time (0104 GMT) and featured a depth of 2 km.
Habib Masoumi, the head of Emergency Medical Center of Hamadan, said that out of the ten injured, 6 were hospitalized.
The earthquake has caused damage to the buildings in neighboring regions and villages, Mehr reported.
Medical services along with disaster relief forces have been dispatched to the hit area.
