HANOI, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's national junior rowing and canoeing championship 2017 kicked off here on Thursday, with 351 athletes attending.
The local rowers and canoeists from 28 cities and provinces nationwide are competing at 17 events of the tournament which will wrap up on July 13.
The most outstanding rowers and paddlers will be trained intensively to become members of Vietnam's national rowing and canoeing squads in the near future, said the Vietnam Rowing Federation.
