JAKARTA, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Coach and players of Indonesian national football team have pledged to defeat opponent from Puerto Rico in a friendly match next week in Indonesia.
"We insist on winning against Puerto Rico," coach of the team Luis Milla disclosed on the website of the country's football association on Friday.
The match will be played in Manguwoharjo Stadium of Sleman in Yogyakarta province on June 13, according to the association.
The target was also expressed by one of the players of the Indonesian team, Gavin Kwan Adsit.
The target was made after the Indonesian team defeated the rival from Cambodia on Thursday in Phnom Penh National Olympic of Cambodia with score of 2-0 for Indonesia.
"We worked hard to defeat Cambodia, hopefully this positive result will be repeated," Kwan said.
