RIO DE JANEIRO, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian Superior Electoral Court Judge Herman Benjamim said on Thursday that there is evidence of abuse of economic power in the 2014 presidential election campaign, calling to annul Dilma Rousseff-Michel Temer ticket.

Benjamim, who is the case's rapporteur, was the first to cast his vote in the trial, which entered its third day on Thursday. He has been reading his 550-page-long vote since Wednesday, and is expected to make a conclusion on Friday.

According to the judge, Rousseff's Workers' Party (PT) and Temer's Brazilian Democratic Movement Party (PMDB) accumulated money from bribes which were later used in the campaign. He also stated that the campaign marketers took bribes.

In the third day of the trial, the judges of the Superior Electoral Court also discussed the matter of additional evidence and testimony to the process, but diverged on this aspect.

On Friday, the other six judges will start to cast their votes. Given the length of time it may take to complete the vote, the session may be extended to the weekend.
