SKOPJE, June 8 (Xinhua) -- The European Council and European Commission Thursday affirmed their commitment to continuing to support Macedonia in conducting EU-oriented reforms and projects, Macedonian PM's cabinet informed.

In a letter sent to Macedonia's new Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, President of European Council Donald Tusk and President of European Commission Jean Claude Juncker said they expected the new government to work on Euro-Atlantic integration objective.

They noted that the formation of the new government offered Macedonia the opportunity to move beyond the political strife that has held the country back for so long.

"The coming period offers the new government the opportunity for dedicated work, through a constructive dialogue with the opposition, on the common objective of Euro-Atlantic integration," according to the letter.

Further on, Tusk and Juncker called for continued commitment to the full implementation of the Przino Agreement and the implementation of the Urgent Reform Priorities.

According to them, the meeting of such priorities would be essential to Macedonia's success in its drive to integration processes.
