ALGIERS, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Algeria on Tuesday called on Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen to pursue dialogue as a regional diplomatic crisis escalated.

"Algeria is following the deterioration of relations between some Gulf countries and its impact on the unity and solidarity of the Arab world," read a statement of the Foreign Ministry.

"Algeria urges all concerned countries to pursue dialogue as a single way to settle their differences and uphold the principle of good neighborliness, non-interference in the internal affairs of States, and respect for national sovereignty under any circumstance," specified the source.

While considering that the current crisis is temporary, Algeria noted that "wisdom and reservation will certainly prevail in the end, given that the real challenges hindering the solidarity and unity of the Arab region are multiple factors, including terrorism."

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt and Libya on Monday announced cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar over national security concerns, while Qatar said the move is unjustified.
