CHICAGO, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) grains futures closed mixed on Friday with soybean futures falling to a 13-month low.

Corn and wheat each gained more than 1 percent on spreading and position squaring ahead of a three-day weekend.

The most active corn contract for July delivery rose 5 cents, or 1.35 percent, to 3.7425 dollars per bushel. July wheat delivery went up 7.5 cents, or 1.74 percent, to close at 4.3825 dollars per bushel. July soybeans dropped 13 cents, or 1.38 percent, to close 9.265 dollars per bushel.

In the outside markets, the Brent crude oil market is 0.28 dollar per barrel higher, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 13 points lower.

Bryan Doherty, Stewart-Peterson grain analyst, says that the markets are mostly trading sideways, but a Commodity Futures Trading Commission Report released Friday and a long Holiday weekend ahead will have investors positioning themselves.
