ISLAMABAD, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned the explosion that occurred in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 persons and injuring many others.
While sympathizing with families of the deceased, the prime minister has stated that the elimination of terrorism requires concerted efforts and any of such act targeting innocent people is highly condemnable, the prime minister's office said.
"Pakistan stands in solidarity with the government and people of the United Kingdom against all forms of terrorism," Sharif said.
The blast occurred outside Manchester Arena right after the end of a concert late Monday night.
