CHICAGO, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) grains futures closed mixed on Monday as weather remained as the key factor during the trading session.

The most active corn contract for July delivery rose 2.5 cents, or 0.57 percent, to 3.75 dollars per bushel. July wheat delivery went down 1 cents, or 0.23 percent, to close at 4.3425 dollars per bushel. July soybeans was up 3.5 cents, or 0.37 percent, to 9.565 dollars per bushel.

Weather premium was added to crop prices as rains and cool-to-cold temperatures hit the Midwest over the weekend and rains are expected to continuously to influence key growing areas for most of this week.

The wet weather has already led to concerns over the replanting of corn and delaying the soybean seeding process.

Meanwhile, profit-taking has pressured the prices of wheat futures, which saw a more-than-two-percent rise in the previous session.
