5.3-magnitude quake jolts Taiwan sea area

BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit the sea area of Taiwan at about 9:57 a.m. Sunday Beijing Time, according to the measurement of the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 21.68 degrees north latitude and 121.54 degrees east longitude.
