JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- The outgoing African National Congress (ANC) Women's League chairperson, Bathabile Dlamini, on Sunday said she will remember the party president Jacob Zuma as a person who was always smiling even under difficult situations.

Dlamini said this while talking to the media in Johannesburg on the sidelines of the 54th annual congress of the ANC.

Zuma's tenure of office as ANC president ends on Saturday.

She described Zuma as a humble man. "If there is something South Africa can learn from Zuma it's the sense of humour. He would accept everyone and not get angry even those who do want him. Zuma would accommodate views of different people with a smile."

She stated that Zuma understood the rural community, working community and the learned urban dwellers. She also stated that Zuma was able to handle complex issues and understood the Marxist and Leninist ideology.

The ANC Women's League nominated Nkosazan Dlamini-Zuma to be the next party president. Dlamini said if they fail on that bid they will go back to the drawing table and strategize. The party will elect the top six party leadership and the results would be announced Monday.
