Dollar trades in lower 112 yen range amid U.S. tax reform concerns, equities' drop

TOKYO, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded close to the the 112 yen line in Tokyo in the morning, owing to a risk-off mood amid concerns about the U.S. tax reform bill and pressured by global equity markets' downturn.

As of midday here, the dollar was quoted 112.27-28 yen compared with 112.34-44 yen in New York and 112.76-77 yen at 5 p.m. local time on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1786-1786 dollars and 132.32-33 yen against 1.1773-1783 dollars and 132.34-44 yen in New York and 1.1816-1818 dollars and 133.24-28 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
