NAIROBI, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Kenya has made four changes to the team that played in Dubai ahead of their trip to Cape Town, South Africa for the second round of IRB World Seven Series to be played on Friday.
Kenya who missed out on the Main Cup quarters after losing to New Zealand has left Coach Innocent Simiyu with no choice but to ring the changes, which will see Samuel Muregi and Erick Ombasa will link up with Shujaa on Tuesday also coming in is veteran Oscar Ouma.
The trio comes in as cover for Dennis Ombachi (ankle) and Collins Injera (hamstring) who were ruled out of action on day one of the season opening Dubai Sevens where Shujaa finished seventh overall after losing 19-12 in the fifth place semifinal encounter against Australia.
They had earlier finished second in Pool A behind eventual tournament winners South Africa before losing 14-12 to New Zealand in the cup quarterfinal.
Ouma, unavailable for the Dubai leg, is a seasoned campaigner on the World Series. However, 22 year old Muregi and 20 year old Ombasa make their series debuts after impressive performances with their club side during the 2017 Kenya National Sevens Circuit.
Kenya is in Pool A for the Cape Town Sevens and will face hosts South Africa, France and Russia.
