RIYADH, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Saudi-led coalition issued on Monday a warning to residents of Sanaa to stay away from Houthi militias' sites for their safety, Al Sharq Al Awsan online news reported.

The Arab coalition fighting in Yemen launched several air raids on Houthi military sites on Sunday evening near Sanaa airport and Dulaimi base, sources confirmed to Al Arabiya local news.

The sources confirmed that the coalition raided Houthi militia positions west of the capital Sanaa on Sunday.

The air raids come a day after the coalition made a statement announcing its support for Yemeni uprising against Houthis. The coalition said it is determined that it has maintained its position on all Yemeni ground.

The past three days have witnessed deadly clashes between supporters of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and his former Houthi militia allies.

The fighting raged at dawn on Saturday between the two sides, which led to at least 80 supporters from both sides having been killed.

Meanwhile, the elected Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi called upon the staff of the United Nations and international organisations to leave Yemen for their safety.
