ANAHEIM, United States, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Sohrab Moradi of Iran broke two world records to bag all the golds in the men's 94kg category of the 2017 World Weightlifting Championships on Sunday.

Moradi was confident in the snatch with three good lifts to come first at 184kg. In the clean and jerk, Moradi was successful in his first attempt of 220kg and he then went for the world records with his second try.

By lifting a stunning 233kg, he set a new world record in the clean and jerk, breaking the previous 232kg mark set by Kolecki Szymon of Poland. He also broke his own total world record setting it to 417kg.

Third place in the snatch, Aurimas Didzbalis of Lithuania ended 4th in the clean and jerk, but his total of 388kg was still enough for a silver medal.
