DOHA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Qatar's Advisory (Shura) Council said the country will continue to fight terrorism in collaboration with the international society, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported Tuesday.

"Qatar combats terrorism out of its sound faith, established principles, firm policy, and adherence to human values," QNA quoted the council as saying.

Commenting on the ongoing blockade imposed on Qatar, the council said many countries know well Qatar's efforts in fighting terrorism.

"All the accusations by its gulf allies are lies and baseless," it noted.

During the third regular session of the advisory council on Monday, the advisory council reviewed the Decree No. 11 of 2017 on the amendment to some provisions of Law No. 3 of 2004 on combating terrorism.

This decree, which Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani issued in July, covers the freezing of funds, the financing of terrorism, the creation of two national lists of individuals and terrorist entities, the identification of procedures for listing individuals and entities involved in terror activities.

On June 5, Saudi Arabia, along with its Arab allies including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen, severed diplomatic ties with Qatar as well as all air, land and sea links to the Arab Gulf state, a move that has sent shock waves across the Middle East and beyond.

The Saudi-led boycotting countries accuse Qatar of supporting terrorist, extremist and sectarian organizations, which Doha has repeatedly denied.
