JAKARTA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Anti-terror squad of national police has arrested an alleged terrorist preparing to go to Marawi city of the Southern Philippines for joining in jihad (holy war) with Islamic States (IS) group, police officer disclosed here on Tuesday.
Nurhadi was captured in a waiting room of Supadio airport of West Kalimantan province when he was going to fly to Kuching of Malaysia and then continue his journey to the Philippines, national police spokesman Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said.
"He wants to go to Marawi to engage in jihad," he said at the police headquarters.
Nurhadi is being held in the province and being investigated over his plan and financing of his acts as well as his link with the IS group in the Philippines, Wasisto added.
