PYONGYANG, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of Russian lawmakers arrived here Monday for an official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the official Korean Central News Agency said.
The joint delegation of political parties of the State Duma was headed by Kazbek Taysaev, secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who is also the head of the Russia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group of the Russian lower house of parliament.
According to earlier reports by Russian media, during the visit until Dec. 1, four lawmakers will visit some installations and hold talks with DPRK officials at the Russian embassy here on the situation in the Korean Peninsula and the Northeast Asia region.
