KABUL, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Up to 27 armed insurgents have been killed and 13 others injured fallowing Afghan forces operations in restive provinces over the past 24 hours, the defense ministry said in a statement released here on Saturday.
"Security and defense forces conducted several military operations across the country in past 24 hours, killing 27 militants and injuring 13 others," the statement said. It added that two hideouts of militants were also destroyed during the operations.
Taliban militants who are fighting against government forces in several provinces haven't commented.
