LONDON, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Police officers are responding to reports of an incident at Oxford Circus station in downtown London on Black Friday, according to British Transport Police.

Police said Oxford Circus Station had been closed while they are investigating a customer incident. They asked everyone on the street to go into a building as the main street is in lockdown.

The areas were crowded with shoppers as the sales seasons are ongoing.

Videos on social media showed people running along the streets. Local residents said heavy police presence could be seen.
