Mongolian ruling party re-elects general secretary

ULAN BATOR, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The ruling Mongolian People's Party (MPP) re-elected Dashzeveg Amarbayasgalan as general secretary here on Friday.

Local reports said Amarbayasgalan won 74.5 percent of the votes for his second term.

Amarbayasgalan served in the governing board of the MPP in 2009, which is the party's core decision-making body, and worked as representative of the parliament of the capital Ulan Bator from 2008 to 2009.
