U.S. stocks close higher on upbeat earnings

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks traded higher on Tuesday as investors mulled a batch of generally positive quarterly earnings reports.

The Dow added 0.69 percent, and the S&P 500 gained 0.65 percent, while the Nasdaq increased 1.06 percent.
